Humor Piece

For my humor section of the project I decided to make a political cartoon. I choose a cartoon because I felt I could express my views in a simple and effective way. My cartoon will have Obama and McCain both looking at the sky and they are debating over what color it is, but they are other way off. Then a person will be standing there commenting on how stupid this is while another person will be very interested and wanting to hear more of the debate. I will use some exaggeration to get my point across, but the fact that the politicians are lying will still be evident.

The cartoon you made was extremely good, and it was completely effective as well. I really liked the slogan at the bottom; that was so eye opening. You had expressed worry on whether you should change the pictures or not but I thought they were all perfect, especially the ones of McCain and Obama pointing!

I liked the cartoon you put together for your humour argument. Although I'm sure you thought of this, the only suggestion I have is to arrange the pictures from left to right, one after the other. This sequence, I think, would be more effective. Great argument.

I really liked your cartoon. It is very effective and makes a good argument. I would suggest putting the tagline of "what happens..." at the top of the cartoon instead of the bottom. Great job!

Liked your arguement a lot thought it was very funny, although its almost to true to be funny. I would put the title phrase at the top though.

Will, your argument was well thought out and creative. I liked it a lot. The first three pictures were perfect for the argument, but for the fourth, if you could maybe find one where the students look a little bit dumb maybe? like they dont know whats going on, I think that might make it even better. But you did a really great job! Thats really the only thing I would change!

The argument is completely clear and I liked the idea. The only suggestion i have is move the bottom slogan to the top but either way I think its effective.

Your picture and words were good and definetly got your point across. It was very funny, especially your irony on how we don't think for ourselves anymore, even though we know they are clearly wrong. I really liked your cartoon. I think you used the perfect amount of pictures and words..good job!

Strong point. I feel the same way about this. Only way it could be better if it was a bit prettier. But if making it more fancy loses clarity do not. Clarity was strong, be sure to keep it.

You have a very strong point about politicians, which is depressingly true. Good visuals and made sense to me right away, and both conservatives and liberals can understand it without being offended. Overall great job, i really don't have any suggestions to make it better.

I really liked your cartoon that you put together, and just a few quick corrections: the W in whole (bottom left) needs to be lower cased and what ever needs to be one word. It gets the point across, and I like the captions. it made me laugh to myself that's for sure. I like it!

I thought this was a very interesting take on human common sense or the apparent lack thereof. I felt that is could be a very powerful argument about the people putting all of their beliefs and decisions in the government. If you could merge the photos together and put the tagline at the top, that would make it all the more powerful.

Your cartoon was very good and well done on the computer. I think the title would be more effective on time. Really got the point acress and made me laugh alot. The reality of it and idea blended well.

I liked your idea, it makes people think about what really is going on in politics and what the politicians are telling people.

Will,
fabulous job. i laughed out loud. Its a very clear point and its so simple yet sends a very clear strong message. The sentence at the bottom made it really powerful.
